Plights of pensioners
The case of the pensioners who have surrendered hundred percent (100%) of their gross pension was a matter of much discussion in the press and other public forums. A statement to this effect was also collected from the Accounts Officers of all zillas and upazillas. This caused immense problems to the pensioners, particularly to those who surrendered hundred percent of the pension value. In the process, the cases of those who have been suffering enormously deserve humanitarian consideration.
In the mean time, a circular to the effect that nobody will enjoy the hundred percent encashment facility of pension money from now on has been issued. However, the matter raised above has not been solved as yet.
The authority concerned is earnestly requested to consider the cases of the pensioners who surrendered hundred percent much compassionately and pass on necessary order(s) accordingly.
