No electricity at Paksey
There has been no electricity since Friday forenoon at Paksey railway town except that part of the town controlled by the railway administration. As a result, a large area of the town has plunged into darkness to the despair of the residents. When contacted, the PDB officials assured us of repairing the supply lines as quick as possible. We hope so, said a client, looking at the cloudy sky with vacant eyes.

Painful journey
Believe it or not, I left Dhaka city by bus on Saturday morning at 9 am and arrived Pabna on Sunday morning at 7 am via Tangal and Sirajganj, whereas we could cover this distance via Aricha and Nagarbari ghats just in six hours during the seventies to mid nineties. We were incredibly detained at Chandra alone for about six hours. Moreover, the road condition being extremely bad, the driver was extraordinarily careful to avoid accident and other mishaps.
However, the terrible journey simply exposed out hollowness, and nothing else. In view of this, should we request the Road and the Bridge Division ministry to pay attention to the urgent repairing of the damaged parts of the roads and highways through out the country?
