Repair the unsafe roads of Port City :
Chittagong is mired in numerous problems, of which water logging, as everyone knows by now, is the main one. Because of water logging, the roads of the city are badly damaged. Many pits on the road look like miniature ponds.
The city dwellers are suffering desperately from this problem. Almost daily I go to Sholoshahar from Dewanhat, en route to my university. The condition of the roads is so terrible that I can’t describe the situation.
We appeal to the city mayor to repair these roads for the sake of the city dwellers.

Show no mercy to the rapists
Every day we find at least one report about rape in the newspapers. And not all the cases are even reported by the victims due to social stigma. In most cases, the victims are tortured and/or killed after being raped. People all over the country are frightened and disgusted at such displays of cruelty.
In cases where the perpetrators are arrested, many later avoid punishment because of our prolonged judicial process. As the legal maxim goes, justice delayed is justice denied.
The trial of the rape cases should be completed within a short period so that a strong message is delivered that no one can get away with committing rape.
