Batting & Bowling should equality fire
Bangladesh team’s task to cruise into the semifinals has become extremely thorny after loss to hosts England in the Champions Trophy. The team’s batting skills are strong enough to resist world’s fierce bowlers, but that is not enough for a good result if the team’s other departments become hollow and vulnerable.
The team management should have been careful watching thrashing by Pakistan even scoring 341 runs though that was a preparatory match. Surely the English team management drafted their plan to play the frail Bangladeshi bowlers. What English batsmen did was purely a professional approach. They were not frantic nor slapdash.
The cricket fans of the country depended much on bowlers Mustafizur Rahman, Shakib Al Hasan and Rubel Hossain, but they failed pathetically. So, new plan and strategy should be devised to overcome both Australia and New Zealand, who shared points in an abandoned match.
Still we want to believe that Bangladesh will stay on line.
