Containing crimes
We are sorry to say that crimes, particularly rape and murder, are going unabated, which mocks our claim as a civilized nation. The purpose of this letter is not to analyse reasons of expansion, but to remind all those people, who do not, despite ability, punish the criminals and stand by the oppressed. Allah has warned such people of severe chastisement in the Hereafter. (Reference: Hadith-e-Qudsi).
The Lord of the worlds has said that He will bring allegation against those who oppress mankind and revolt in the land and they will be subjected to the painful torment. (Al-Quran, Sura Shura, Verse No. 42). The Prophet Muhammad (SM) said that murderer will have no escape from punishment. (Bukhari Sharif).
We think if the government and the Islami scholars jointly take initiative to circulate the aforesaid Hadith and the Quran’s verse on the radio and television, in the newspapers and the mosques, and distribute handbills, those will produce some fruitful results.
Moreover, the government will create some examples of quick execution of the death sentence delivered by the Court of Law.
