An appeal to all
With deep shock and dismay I read the news published in an English daily on April 27,2017 which said that India’s state-owned Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has secured the export order for setting up of the controversial 1,320MW power plant in Rampal.
It is just unbelievable, how could the government ignore the plea and rightful demand of seventeen crore people of Bangladesh who are urging from the beginning to abandon the plan to save Sunderbans which will save the ecological system of our country.
The mangrove forest is a blessing to us, it is sheltering us from many natural disasters.
The government must give heed to people’s words, not brush those off as meaningless. We hope good sense will prevail and the government will act giving priority to the interest of our beloved country.
