Marriage age
We support the bill, fixing 18 years as marriage bar for the females, with relaxation in special cases, passed in the Parliament. We back it up because extreme rigidity brings no good to the society.
In this connection, we like to remind that Hazrat Fatima (AS), daughter of the Prophet Muhammad (SM), was 18 years when she got married with Hazrat Ali (RA) and Hazrat Ayesha (RA) was 17 years at the time of her marriage with the Prophet Muhammad.
It legalizes marriage of a female in less than 18 years.
