Business in their instant reaction to the budget said it is not ambitious but the government has to ensure its proper implementation. Without proper implementation business sector cannot be benefited, they added.
Bangladesh Garments Manufacturer and Exporters Association (BGMEA) hailing the budget described it as realistic. BGMEA said, export sector has given special emphasis in the budget, which will help the garment sector to growth steadily.
Garment industries will be benefited by the budget and export volume of the country will enhance, BGMEA in a statement to the press said.
Former FBCCI president Abdul Awal Mintu said, revenue-earning target in the budget would not be achieved, as it is very ambitious.
He said that business sector will be benefited if the allocation for infrastructure development is spent properly.
Former FBCCI president Anisul Hoque said, allocation for infrastructure has been given priority in the budget but its implementation would be a big challenge.
