Chittagong Bureau :
BNP, Chittagong North district unit demanded abrogation of election results of Raozan, Rangunia and Fatikchari upazilas of Chittagong and demanded reelections in these upazilas.
This demand was disclosed in a press meet arranged by BNP North district Chief Giasuddin Quader Chowdhury at press club on Monday.
Giasuddin Quader chowdhury read out the written statement before the pressmen. The press meet was told that unprecedented vote rigging happened in fourth phase election in these three upazilas.
Awami cadres occupied the centres and caste vote as desired in front of presiding officer and other officials. Moreover law enforcing members also helped them for daylight vote rigging. He said the role of armed forces in the vote centre not visible which is really a mystry . Among others, general secretary of North district unit Aslam Chowdhury, General Secretary of city BNP Dr. Shahdat Hossain, Fatikchari upazila chairman candidate Md. Sarowar Alamgir, BNP nominee of Raozan Anowar Hossain were present in the press meet.
