RCEL Secy Gen visits Comilla Cantt

Secretary General, Royal Commonwealth Ex-Services League (RCEL), UK. Lieutenant Colonel Christopher Warren visited Comilla Cantonment and called on GOC, 33 Infnatary Division on Wednesday.
After that he visited Relic World War II, War Cemetery, District Armed Services Board, Comilla (DASB, Comilla).
Secretary DASB, Comilla Major Md Parvez Hossain briefed overall activities of DASB and met with Veterans of ex-British soldiers and widows of British soldiers those who are residing under the District of Comilla, B-Baria and Chandpur Area.
He also distributed cheque to the ex-British soldiers and widows of British soldiers.
On completion of his visit at Comilla again he moves to Dhaka.
It is mentionable that in the history of the first and Second World War the son of this soil joined the allied forces and fought against the axis power. Their valor has rewarded prestigious membership of RCEL to Bangladesh. As responsible organization, Bangladesh Armed Services Board (BASB) receives the RCEL grants and made available it to the door side of the ex-servicemen and their widows, who served the British Crown during the World War-II. Most of the ex-servicemen or their widows have become physically very weak or ill due to old age and many of them do not have any alternative means of livelihood.
