Rangpur City Corporation (RCC) arranged a press conference after analyzing the data of the survey conducted for two months on high blood pressure and obesity screening in various wards. RCC Chief Health Officer Dr. Kamruzzaman Taj presented the information at a press conference in RCC’s Hall on Monday.
RCC Mayor Mostafizar Rahman Mostafa was the chief guest and said that everyone should follow the rules. Otherwise all will have different problems. So please be careful from now on.
At this time, Dr. Palash Kumar Roy, Public Health Pathologist of Save the Children, Councilor Haradhan, Abdul Gaffar, Rasik Sanitary Inspector Abdul Qayyum and other field level health workers were present there.
It was informed in the press conference that under the overall supervision of the Ministry of Local Government Rural Development and Cooperatives, the project titled Urban Public Health System Strengthening Programme is being implemented in all the City Corporations of Bangladesh including Rangpur City Corporation, funded by the US CDC and with the technical assistance of Save the Children, Bangladesh. All of which are playing a supporting role in the implementation of the public health related activities of the City Corporation.
