Rangpur City Corporation [RCC] announced a budget of 889 core 55 lakh 3 thousand 5 hundred 58 taka for the fiscal year of 2020-2021 on Sunday. Mayor Mostafizur Rhaman Mostafa announced the budget at a press conference at city corporation auditorium. City corporation Chief Executive officer, councilors, leaders of different professional organizations and civil society members and journalists attended the programme. The mayor said, no new tax was imposed on the city-dwellers in the budget. Communication development, removing traffic congestion in the city, improvement of quality education, building recreational spots for city dwellers and adaptation program for climate change were given special priority in the budget
