There are many days for coming Eid. But on the occasion of Eid, many directors have started to make their special works. Dipu Hazra is one of them who has recently made a play titled Chehara in a shooting spot in the city’s Uttara area on January 28 and 29.
While talking about main theme of the play its playwright Ahsan Habib Sokal told this correspondent, “Chehara is to open the mask. With this story Dipu Hazra has made the play to cast Rawnak Hasan and Sumaiya Shimu. As a pair, Rawnak and Shimu worked together in some plays which became popular among the viewers.”
While talking about the play Rawnak Hasan said, “I have liked story of the play. For the first time acted under Dipu Hazra’s direction. He works very sincerely. I always feel comfortable to work with Sumaiya Shimu. She has dedication to acting which impress me a lot. She comes to the set timely and also maintains proper make-up during shooting. It can be an example for other actresses. Overall Shimu is a talented actress.”
Sumaiya Shimu shared her feelings by this way, “It is no doubt that Rawnak Bhai is a talented actor. But I always enjoy working with him as a co-actor. As a director, Dipu Hazra is outstanding. I always prefer his direction. I am very much optimistic about this Eid play.”s
In last Eid, under Dipu Hazra’s direction Shimu first acted in a play titled Ahoto Gontobbyo. Under Rawnak Hasan’s direction Shimu acted in two plays – Sadakalo and Koho Koinnya Kobul.
Shimu acted first movie was Mostafa Sarwar Farooki’s Bachelor where she played in a guest role.
On the other hand, Rawnak recently finished shooting of SM Kamruzzaman Sagor directed a play titled Batiwala where Joyonto Chatterjee acted in role of his father.
