Noted actor Ratin has been admitted into hospital few days ago after suffering from chikungunya fever. That fever later affected his kidney and liver. He became physically weak. On July 6, he became sicker due to stroke. Though he could talk earlier but right now he cannot talk even to take meal, said his younger brother Anjan Rahman.
Ratin’s brother also informed that his elder brother may face serious physical problem due to his present condition.
Ratin’s only son is now working in a private firm after completing masters from Dhaka University. Now it is really difficult for his family to bear his treatment expenses. In the circumstances, Anjan Rahman requested the Prime Minister to give financial assistance to his brother.
Ratin is now under the treatment of medicine expert Dr AKM Aminul Haque at National Hospital in old part of Dhaka.
In 1970, Ratin started his acting craeer through Mostafa Mehmud directed movie Notun Probhat. Devdas, Harano Sur, Shuktara, Jobab Chai, Sneher Protidan, Chorer Bou, Mohan Bondhu, Lalu Sardar, Swarthopor, etc are his acted mentionable films. His acted number of theatre plays are around hundred.
