The SGS Open FIDE Rating Chess tournament begins today (Saturday) at Bangladesh Chess Federation hall-room at 3 pm. Tarafder M Ruhul Saif, director of Saif Powertec Limited, will formally inaugurate the meet as the chief guest.
Sponsored by the Saif Global Sports (SGS) and organised by Bangladesh Chess Federation, the tournament is an open event for all chess players.
The event will be held in nine round Swiss-League system and cash prize of Taka 1,50,000 will be given to the winners.
