A new organization named Bangladesh Newspaper Editors and Publishers Council (BNEPC) has been formed comprising national newspaper editors and publishers. The organizational committee was declared on Saturday at a hotel in Dhaka, says a press release.
Editor and Publisher of The Daily Tribunal Shiharan Rashid was selected as President and Editor and Publisher of The Daily Citizen Times Nazmul Ahmed was selected as General Secretary of a 13-member executive committee.
The other committee members are: Senior Vice President Atiqur Rahman Chowdhury (Dainik Dorpon Protidin), Vice President Md Jasim Uddin (Dainik Amar Barta), Joint Secretary Farooq Khan (Dainik Bangladesh Kantha), Organizational Secretary Md Rukunazzaman Rukun (Dainik Onupoma), Treasurer Mafijur Rahman (Dainik Bangladesher Alo), Office Secretary Rumajjal Hossain Rubel ( Dainik Banglar Nobokontho), Sports and Culturul Secretary Ahsan Habib (Dainik Amar Din), Women Secretary Nurun Nahar Rita (Dainik Nobojibon), executive member Atikul Islam (Dainik Ajker Bani), A B M Selim Ahmed (Daily Evening News) and Noto Kishor Aditya (Dainik Prothom Kotha).
