Md Rashedul Haque, a fourth year student of Political Science Department emerged champion in the Annual Sports Competition of Surya Sen Hall of Dhaka University (DU) while Md Shakil Ahmed, a third year student of Political Science Department became runner-up on Sunday. The sports meet was held at the Central Play Ground of DU.
Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Administration) of Dhaka University Professor Dr Sahid Akhter Hussain inaugurated the sports competition by releasing the balloons in the morning.
After the sports meet, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Education) of DU Dr Nasreen Ahmad distributed the prizes among the winners as the chief guest. Provost of Surya Sen Hall Professor Dr ASM Maksud Kamal presided over the prize-giving ceremony. The residential teachers of the Hall and the officials of the Physical Education Centre of DU were present at the time.
