A rare species of Monkey popularly known as Lazzabati Banar was caught by local people of Noor Ahmed Sobhan’s Bari under No.2 ward of Dabua Union of Raozan upazila very recently which later handed over to Girichaya Mini Zoo of East Raozan , adjoining Rangamati hill district. In presence of Raozan UNO Md Shamim Hossain Reza Raozan Forest Officer Abdur Rashid, Panel Mayor Jamiruddin Parvez, and local journalists , the rare species of monkey was freed from the custody of the Mini zoo recently.
According to Forest Act of 1974 and 2002, this monkey is rare species and reserved animal, forest officials sources said.
