Police on Sunday arrested an alleged rapist who raped a third grader student at Sajiara village in Sadar upazila on Saturday.
Ilius Hossian, Officer-in-Charge of Magura Sadar Police Station, said rapist Badsha Molla, 17, son of Babu Molla of the village in Sadar upazila, was placed before a court on Monday morning.
Badsha confessed his guilt during police interrogation. Medical test of the rape victim has been conducted at Magura Sadar Hospital.
According to the report, evidence of rape was found as well as injury marks were found in her reproductive organ, OC Ilius added. The schoolgirl was reportedly raped by Badsha in a sugarcane field at Sajiara village in Sadar upazila while returning home. Later, locals admitted her to Magura Sadar Hospital.
