Security guard of Fardin Iftekhar Dihan’s residence has been missing since the rape and murder of an O-level female student on Thursday, police sources said.
On Thursday night, the girl’s father, a businessman, filed a case with Kalabagan Police Station against Fardin Iftekhar Dihan-an 18-year-old who has recently passed his A-level examinations-over the rape and murder of his daughter.
The victim’s father on Saturday alleged that they wanted to prosecute some friends of Fardin in the case, but the police did not allow.
Police said that they were suspecting some other people along with Fardin might have been involved in the rape and murder incident.
Fardin and his family live in a flat in the capital’s Kalabagan area. He brought the girl to the flat after his mother had gone to Bogura Thursday morning.
Police said that Fardin’s father, a retired district registrar, lives in Rajshahi.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police New Market zone assistant commission Abul Hasan said, ‘We are looking for the security guard, Dulal. He assisted Fardin to carry the victim out of the house. Dulal may know something.’
He said that they had also collected CCTV footages at different places from the hospital to the way to Fardin’s house and examining call records of different people.
The police recovered the body of the 17-year-old girl from Anwar Khan Modern Hospital Thursday afternoon and detained Fardin and three of his friends.
The three friends were released Friday night, said Kalabagan police station sub-inspector Tahmina Rahmna.
Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue sources said that the girl suffered brutality during the rape as her genital and rectum were severely damaged causing excessive bleeding.
Fardin was shown arrested in the murder case on Friday and he later gave confessional statement before the court.
Anwar Khan Modern Hospital physicians said that Fardin and one of his friends brought the girl to the hospital by a private car.
The hospital emergency medical officer Mohammed Aseer Intisar Saarim said that they inquired Fardin about the girl’s injuries which caused excessive bleeding.
