A Dhaka court yesterday fixed November 4 for submitting a probe report against former Vice-President of Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) Nurul Haque Nur and five others in a case filed for allegedly assisting in rape.
Magistrate Illias Mia of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka fixed the new date, as Investigation Officer Md Wahiduzzaman could not submit its report on Tuesday. A Dhaka University student filed the rape case on September 20.
Earlier, on Monday, two of the suspects- Bangladesh Sadharan Chhatra Odhikar Sangrakkhan Parishad’s Joint Convener Saiful Islam and Vice-President Nazmul Huda were remanded for two days each in the case.
Metropolitan Magistrate Morshed Al Mamun Bhuiyan granted the remand on October 12 after DB Inspector Wahiduzzaman produced the accused in the court and sought seven days to interrogate them.
