UNB, Dhaka :A young woman on Friday filed a rape case with Shahabag Police Station against an Ansar member on Friday. Officer-in-charge of Shahabag Police Station Abu Bakar Siddique confirmed this to UNB. According to the case statement, the 20-year-old woman along with her father came to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on April 25 for the latter’s medical treatment.As the woman stayed at the hospital to attend her ailing father, she came in contact with Bakul Sarkar of DMCH Ansar camp. At one stage, Bakul made physical relationship with the girl several times promising to marry her. Later, he refused to marry her and went into hiding, according to the case statement.
