Monirampur police arrested accused Tariqul Islam, 23 and Nazrul Islam, teachers of a madrassah for allegedly raping a 8 grader student of the Madras, who is also a Dakhil examinee on Tuesday night.
Jashore police briefed the information to journalist on Wednesday t.
In the briefing, assistant superintendent of police Raqib Hasan said that the main accused of the madrassah student raping Tariqul Islam was arrested from Chansra under Jashore sadar upazila on Tuesday night while another teacher Nazrul was detained from Dumuria Bazar in Khulna on same night. But the information of Nazrul’s arrest was not disclosed earlier for the sake of arrest of another accused.
The eight grader madrassah student was raped allegedly by the teachers at a place of the class room on the night of September 30 after completion of coaching. The information came into light on October 3. Medical test of the student was made on October 6. In the meanwhile, a case was lodged with Monirampur police station by the father of the victim.
