Jamiruddin Parvez, the newly elected mayor of Raozan Pourasava has taken some initiatives for betterment of its inhabitants. Within three months of his office assumption, a number of praiseworthy steps were undertaken by the mayor like clean-up program, tree planting, fair price sale of essential commodities through mobile trucks, distribution of dustbin, help desk for corona support and food assistance to the hapless people of the society.
He also sets up a mediation bench, ever first in the history of Raozan Pourasava titled Disputes Mitigation Board for hapless people and to mediate minor disputes within the poura areas out of the court .
On first day of his taking oath as Mayor, Jamiruddin took a clean-up program launched from poura office square with the Upazila Nirbahi Officer, Upazila Chairman and other officials and newly elected ward councilors.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing committee and local lawmaker ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury MP advised the newly elected mayor and councilors to get united for betterment of Pourasava and poura dwellers while paid courtesy call on him at his city residence just after victory in poura election that held on February 4, 2021.
The lawmaker also stressed to buildup Raozan pourasava in a beautiful manner as a one of the model pourasava in the country. After assuming as mayor, Jamiruddin personally attends the burial and crimination of covid-19 infected deaths in cooperation with the Help Desk Volunteers and Gousia committee members.
