WIM Rani Hamid and and Jahanara Haque Runu shared the lead in the Shamsher Ali Memorial Women’s FIDE Rating Chess Tournament after the fourth round games at Bangladesh Chess Federation hall-room here on Monday.
Rani Hamid a player of Golden Sporting Club and Runu of Mohila Daba Samity secured full four points each from the four round games while Farjana Hossain Annie followed them bagging 3.5 points.
WFM Sharmin Sultana Shirin, WFM Nazrana Khan Eva, Zahuratul Zannat Zisha, Sumaiya Khondoker, Sabikun Nahar Tanima, Hamida Mahmud, Kiswara Shajrin Evana and Jannatul Ferdous were sharing the third position securing three points each.
In the 4th round games, WIM Rani Hamid beat Eva, Runu defeated WFM Shirin, Annie outplayed Fatema Tuz Zohara Sraboni, Tanima beat WFM Zakia Sultana, Annie defeated Fatema Tuz Zohara Sraboni, Jannatul beat Protiva Talukder, Evana got walk-over against Syeda Fahmida Malek, Sumaiya beat Amena Khatun, Hamida beat Noshin Anjum and Zisha beat Fardina Hossain Arena.
