A month-long ‘Rangpur Industry and Trade Fair-2015’, organised by Rangpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) has begun at local police Lines ground in the city on Monday evening.Divisional Commissioner Md. Dilwar Bakht formally inaugurated the fair as the chief guest while acting Deputy Inspector General (DIG) for Rangpur range of Bangladesh Police Humayun Kabir was present as special guest. President of RCCI Mostofa Sohrab Chowdhury Titu presided over the opening ceremony.
The fair is being organised with a view to encouraging local manufactures and producers and provide a platform for companies to market their brands and display their different types of quality products. It is also arranged in order to flourish and expand the business of the local entrepreneurs. Some 90 stalls and 11 pavilions have been set up in the fair to sell and demonstrate different products.
