The biannual election of Rangpur Press Club for the year 2021- 2023 was held on Friday at the club premise of the city. The voting began at 4.00 pm and ended at 6.30 pm.
Mahabub Rahman, Rangpur Bureu chief Daily Jugantor was elected as president; Abu Taleb, News Editor, Dainik Juger Alo and Abdur Rahaman Mintu, District Correspondent of the Daily New Nation were elected as vice-presidents respectively.
Rafiqul Islam Sarker, senior correspondent, Masranaga Television was elected as secretary.
Other members of the committee are Abdur Rouf Sarker, Rangpur Correspondent, Daily Janakhantho – Treasurer, Sajjad Hossain Bappy, Rangpur Correspondent, Dainik Korotoa – Joint secretary , Siddiqur Rhaman, Bangladesh Betar City correspondent – Office secretary, Nazmul Islam Nishat, Rangpur correspondent, DBC Television, Sports secretary, and AKM Mainul Haque, Senior Correspondent, NTV were made Cultural secretary, Monabbor Hossain Mona , News Editor, Dainik Bayannor Alo , Zakir Hossain, Rangpur Correspondent, Daily New Age, Sabbir Arif Mostafa Piyal, District Correspondent, Dainik Bonikbarta, Mominul Islam, Editor, Daily Teesta Sanbad were elected as executive members.
Zilla Ain Zibi Samittee, President and Public Prosecutor, Advocate Abdul Malek,
Upzailla Election Officer Rezaul Karim and Assistant Director, District Information office Alamgir Kabir conducted the election.
