Rangpur District emerged zonal champions in the Inter-District Men’s Volleyball Championship beating hosts Dinajpur District by straight 3-0 sets in the zonal final at Dinajpur District Stadium on Monday.
Both the finalists–Rangpur and Dinajpur-have already qualified for the final round of the meet to be held in Dhaka.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Dinajpur Abu Raihan Miah was the chief guest in the day’s final and later he distributed the prizes.
Eight districts of Rangpur Division–Rangpur, Dinajpur, Nilphamari, Thakurgaon, Kurigram, Panchagarh, Lalmonirhat and Gaibandha-took part in the zonal competition.
A total of 52 district teams, split into seven zones, are competing in seven divisional ground of the country.
