A total of 250 cold affected people of Madnerpara and Balashighat area under Fulchhari upazila of the district got blankets to mitigate their sufferings from severe cold.
Rotary Club of Dhaka Phoenix distributed the blankets as part of social corporate responsibility at the arrangement of a reputed NGO Friendship.
M. Abdus Sabur Chowdhury, President, Rotary Club of Dhaka Phoenix, formally inaugurated the blankets distribution programme to the beneficiaries at Madnerpara area on Monday.
District coordinator of Friendship Abdus Salam, Project Manager Anwarul Islam and Assistant Project Manager Lokman Hossain were present during the blankets distribution.
