Defending champions Rangpur Division made a winning start in the final round of the Development Cup Football Tournament beating Mymensingh Division 3-2 goals in the opener at Government Physical Education College on Monday.
Udoy, Siraj and Rocky scored one goal each for Rangpur. Rana and Abu Bakkar Siddiqui netted one goal each for Mymensingh.
Asadul Islam, Acting Secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, inaugurated the tournament as the chief guest.
A total of eight Under-16 division teams of are taking par in the final round of the meet, organised by Directorate of Sports.
