The Rangamati Lakers’ Public College started its maiden journey during the session 2015-2016 on its own campus under the supervision of Bangladesh Army, Rangamati Cantonment. On Thursday morning, Chairman of Chittagong Hill District Regional Council Jyotirindra Bodhipriya Larma (Santu Larma) was chief guest at the inaugural ceremony.
Region Commander of the Bangladesh Army, Rangamati Region, and President of College Executive Committee Brigadier General Sanaul Hoq, Deputy Commissioner Md. Samshul Arefin, Member of National Human Rights Commission Nirupa Dewan, Prof. Mongsanu Chowdhury, Acting Principal of the College Boishali Roy and senior army officials, local elites, guardians and students were present at the programme. After the inaugural session, a prize-distribution ceremony was also held at the college auditorium. The chief guest distributed crests among the students who passed SSC with GPA-5 from Lakers’ School.
Later, a colorful cultural programme presented by the students of the school was held at the auditorium.
