Wolves roared 12 points clear at the top of the Championship with a 3-0 win against Brentford at Molineux on Tuesday.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side recorded a 10th win from their last 12 games thanks to second-half goals from Ruben Neves, Barry Douglas and Diogo Jota.
Neves gave Wolves the lead in the 57th minute with his third goal of the season.
Douglas, who had been on target in Wolves’ 2-1 win at Bristol City on Saturday, doubled his side’s advantage two minutes later before Jota added a third 10 minutes from time.
Wolves, backed by Chinese owners, are firm favourites for promotion to the Premier League heading into the second half of the season.
Birmingham moved off the bottom of the Championship with a 2-0 win at Reading, their first away success this season.

Ipswich took the lead through Joe Garner’s first half goal, but the visitors had Jordan Spence sent off in the 54th minute.
Ryan Sessegnon equalised in the 69th minute and Aboubakar Kamara struck twice either side of another Sessegnon goal to seal the rout.
