UNB, Khagrachhari :
Construction work of Ramgarh land port is likely to begin this year.
Tapan Kumar Chakraborty, chairman of Bangladesh Land Port Authority (BLPA), came out with the information while speaking as the chief guest at a meeting at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office on Sunday.
He noted that 10 acres land will be acquired for the port and the World Bank (WB) will finance the Tk 100 crore project.
Hopefully, the detailed project plan will be passed in June next, he added.
Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Wahiduzzaman presided over the meeting.
Members of the Chittagong Hill Tracts Development Board were present at the meeting.
