The holy month of fasting will begin from Sunday as the moon was not sighted anywhere in Bangladesh on Friday.
National Moon Sighting Committee took this decision in meeting chaired by the Religious Affairs Minister Motiur Rahman on Friday evening.
Effectively, devout Muslims will have Sehri on the wee hours of Sunday to begin the holy month of Ramadan, at the end of which Eid-ul-Fitr will be observed. — risingbd.com
