A major specialized bank, Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank (RAKUB) has selected LEADS’ BankUltimus Core Banking System to digitize their banking operation. RAKUB has signed an agreement with LEADS Corporation Limited for implementing this system throughout all of its 381 branches.
BankUltimus is a fully automated real-time Core Banking System which brings benefits in terms of maintaining accounts in real-time, adopting fully centralized business operation.
, producing instant reports for operation, management, audit meeting regulatory requirements with ease, helps carry out analysis with ease for making smarter decisions and all for providing effective and efficient customer service in the competitive market environment etc.
RAKUB was established by the Government in 1986 initially with taking over the operations of 253 branches of Bangladesh Krishi Bank of the then Rajshahi administrative division. RAKUB is the only specialized nationalized bank having its head office outside Dhaka at Rajshahi. The bank is playing a vital role in the country’s economy paying importance to financing poverty alleviation and employment generation activities, SME and other off-farm activities.
A number of high officials from both companies were present in the agreement signing ceremony including RAKUB Chairman Muhammad Nazrul Islam, Managing Director Kazi Alamgir, General Manager Khandoker Golam Mostafa. On behalf of CBS provider LEADS Chairman Shaikh Abdul Aziz, CEO Shaikh Wahid, COO Rana Sohel, General Manager BEM Manjur-e-Khuda and General Manager Anisur Rahman Khan were also present.
