Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank (RAKUB) has achieved 75 percent agri-loan disbursement target in the district during the current fiscal year.
Office sources said like the previous years the bank has set a target to disburse a total of taka 77 crore and 5 lakh to the farmers of all the seven upazilas in the district through 25 branches of the bank during the current fiscal year.
Of the total, about taka 57 crore, 76 lakh and 32 thousand had already been distributed to the farmers to help boost production of agriculture crops including Aman and Boro paddy without economical troubles, sources said.
Each of the growers had received the loan ranging from 10,000 to one lakh from the bank without any complexities and harassments by the officials to farm different varieties successfully, said an official of the bank.
Till May 07, 2015 the bank has achieved 75 percent loan disbursement target and the rest 25 percent target would be fulfilled by June 2015, it was expected, he also said.
