RAK Ceramics resumes production

RAK Ceramics (Bangladesh) Limited, a United Arab Emirates-based multinational company, resumed production in full swing on Monday after a 15-day suspension.
The listed company said this in a price-sensitive disclosure published on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) website on Monday.
The production of the company was closed for 15 days from May 14 to May 29, 2022, due to the maintenance of the RAK power plant, the company’s power source. RAK Ceramics has a sanitary ware line with 50 lakh pieces annual capacity, which also resumed its production on Monday.
In the first quarter of this year, the company posted that its earnings increased 14 per cent to Tk 0.57, which was Tk 0.50 during the same period the previous year. RAK Ceramics gave a 12.5 per cent cash dividend to its shareholders in 2021. It had declared a 10 per cent cash dividend for the previous year.
