Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) franchise Rajshahi Kings has organised a Tree Plantation program scheduled to be held today at St. Joseph Higher Secondary School premises in the city, said a Rajshahi Kings press release.
Rajshahi Kings’ players, management and officials will be present on the occasion.
According to a study conducted by the World Health Organization, the familiar name of Rajshahi came on top in the list of cities that managed to see biggest drops in air pollution in recent years. One of the major factors of achieving this miraculous feat was to turn up the green volume of the city.
Following this marvelous success, Rajshahi Kings have decided to spread the green into the metropolis of Dhaka and then to engage the whole country too.
In this regard, Rajshahi Kings have launched the A6ATree campaign in which a tree will be planted for every ‘six’ hit by a Rajshahi Kings batsman in BPL 2017.
