A court on Wednesday sentenced a young man to life imprisonment in a case filed for possessing drugs.
Judge of Rajshahi special judge court-1 Ismot Ara handed down the verdict in the presence of the convict, Kabir Hossain (31).
The court also fined the convict Tk 20,000, in default of which he will have to suffer five month more in the prison.
According to the prosecution, police arrested Kabir while selling heroin from Shadhur mor Ghuntighor village in Godagari upazila on March 4, 2016. Later, 200 grams of heroin was recovered from his possession.
