Rajshahi district team became champions of the Popular Life Insurance 15th Inter-District Women’s Volleyball Competition when they beat Pabna district team by 3-2 sets in the concluding match of the Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium in Mirpur on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Khulna district team finished third when they defeated Chittagong district team by 3-0 sets in a place-deciding match at the same venue on the same day.
After the final match, Minister for Home Affairs Asaduzzaman Khan distributed the prizes among the winners as the chief guest while Managing Director of Popular Life Insurance Limited BM Yousuf Ali was with him as the special guest.
Vice-President of Bangladesh Volleyball Federation (BVF) Tabiur Rahman Pahlowan, General Secretary of BVF Ashiqur Rahman Miku, Joint-Secretaries of the Federation Advocate Fazle Rabbi Babul, Azizur Rahman and Treasurer of BVF Sirajul Islam were present among others.
Chairperson of Women’s Volleyball Committee and Police Super, CID, Bangladesh Police Syeda Zannat Ara presided over the prize-giving ceremony.
