Rajshahi burn victim dies at DMCH

A housewife named Liza Rahman, 18, who set herself on fire in Rajshahi after coming out of police station, died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Wednesday morning.
The deceased Liza Rahman, was also HSC student of Government Women’s College in Rajshahi and daughter of one Alam Mia from Gobindaganj upazila of Gaibandha.
Meanwhile, an investigation has been started into the college student suicide attempt by setting fire on her after coming out of the

police station. A probe team of the National Human Rights Commission visited the scene on Tuesday noon. The delegation is now staying in Rajshahi to investigate the incident.
The four-member committee, headed by Human Rights Commission Director Al Mahmud Faizul Kabir, has been asked submit the inquiry report within the next seven business days.
She died while undergoing treatment at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital Director Brigadier General AKM Nasir Uddin confirmed it.
On September 28, Liza, wife of one Shakhawat Hossain from Nachol in Chapainawabganj, set herself on fire near Shah Makhdum Police Station following a family dispute with her husband.
The college girl was immediately taken to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital and then shifted to DMCH. She suffered 63 per cent burns.
