Rajeshpur Eco-Park in shambles

UNB, Comilla :
Despite being part of the last bit of serene subtropical forest in the district, Rajeshpur Eco-Park is failing to attract tourists at present as it did before due to security concerns and lack of maintenance.
The park was established on 587.89 acres of Sal forest along Dhaka-Chittagong highway, 16 km off the district town. During a recent visit to the park, this UNB correspondent found out that most of the amusement installations, including the statue of wild animals, slippers and swing chairs, have fallen apart. Most of the shops outside the park were found closed due to low turnout. Visitors are facing water crisis as there is no water management by the park authorities.
