Rajbari DC Dilsad Begum was seriously injured after her car collided with a roadside tree at Pukhuria in Manikganj on the Dhaka-Aricha highway on Saturday morning. She is currently being treated at the National Institute of Neurosciences Hospital.
DC Dilsad Begum was returning to Rajbari from Dhaka on Saturday morning. When her car reached Pukhuria on the Dhaka-Aricha highway it lost control over steering and collided with a roadside tree.
DC Dilsad Begum was injured in her head. Her gunman policeman Mohammad Mokhlesur Rahman, was injured in the leg. But his son and daughter and driver Zayed Ali Kanchan remained unhurt.
They were rushed to the nearby Munnu Medical College Hospital after the accident. After giving first aid there, DC was admitted to the Institute of Neurosciences Hospital for better treatment.
According to the latest news, DC Dilsad Begum is under close observation at the Institute of Neuro Sciences Hospital.
Doctors said she is out of danger now.
Upon receiving the news of the accident, the officials of Manikganj district administration including DC of Manikganj and UNO of Ghior upazila rushed to the spot.
According to Rajbari district administration sources, ADC (General) Sarwar Ahmed Salehin, Additional District Magistrate Sarkar Abdullah Al Mamun Babu and UNO Aminul Islam Munnu of Goaland rushed to see the ailing DC after receiving the news of the accident.
