Raja, Rubayyat to render song for Int’l Mother Language Day

Raja Kaasheff and Rubayyat Jahan have been engaged with music professionally for many years in London, UK. Last week they came to Dhaka to stay for a long time. Raja was born in London and also brought up there. For the first time he came to Dhaka. Raja is a singer, music composer and arranger at a time. On the other hand, Rubayyat Jahan is a professional singer.
For the first time both Raja and Rubayyat are going to render a song for Bangladesh Television which will be telecast on International Mother Language Day, February 21. Title of the song is Tomake bhalobeshey ami achhi ajo benchey, tomake bukey pushey ami ghuri deshey deshey. Dilu Naser wrote lyrics of the song. Singer Raja Kaasheff himself has composed its music.
Both Raja and Rubayyat gave their vocals in the duet song. Raja informed that the song will be recorded in new way on February 11 at BTV.
While talking in this regard Raja Kaasheff told this correspondent, “I feel it is a great achievement for me to render a song for the country on the occasion of International Mother Language Day on BTV. I give thanks to Director General of BTV Harun Bhai in this regard. Only for him I and Rubayyat got the opportunity to render the song on BTV.”
Rubayyat shared her feelings by this way, “It is really a great pleasure for me because after returning country I got the scope to render a song for International Mother Language Day on BTV. I am really feeling well. It is really a delightful matter to render song for the country. I am grateful to BTV authority.”
It is noted that under Raja Kaasheff’s music composition many singers including Adnan Sami, Alka Yagnik, Anuradha Paudwal, Mohammad Aziz, among others, rendered songs in London. Raja also rendered song with Alka Yagnik and Anuradha Paudwal. Raja has been rendering song in London for 15 years.
