Jobseekers formed a human chain on Sunday demanding raising of age limit permanently for getting government jobs from the existing 30 years.
They formed the Human chain under the banner ‘Sarbadaliya Chhatra Oikya Parishad’ in front of Raju Memorial Sculpture at Dhaka University at noon. Before that, they brought out a procession from Shahbagh area which ended at the Raju Sculpture.
They said that question leakage should be stopped, results should be published with examinations’ mark, maximum application fee 100 Tk for the job examination and turn on integrated recruitment test.
Manik Hossain Dipu, convenor of the students’ bodies, said, “we have been going to the government offices from one to another for a long time for increasing age limit to enter into all jobs, but not any response from there.”
“When we stand on the highway for the demand, the police take us away. On the other hand, when we went to the ministry, the police took us away. Where are we going?” he added.
