Rain with squally wind likely

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Tuesday predicted rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind at many places over the country in 24 hours as of 9 am today. “Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at a few places over Mymensingh, Sylhet and Chattogram divisions and at one or two places over Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dhaka, Khulna and Barishal divisions with hails at isolated places,” a met office press release said here on Monday morning.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country during the period.
The highest temperature on Monday was recorded 33.5 degrees Celsius at Teknaf in Chattogram division and Tuesday’s minimum temperature 18.0 degrees Celsius at Tetulia in Rangpur division.
The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours ending at 6 am on Tuesday was recorded 25 mm in Sylhet.
