Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Thursday predicted rain or thundershowers accompanied by lightning flashes and temporary gusty or squally wind at some places of the country in 24 hours as of 9 am today.
“Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind with lightning flashes is likely to occur at a few places over Rajshahi, Khulna, Barishal, Dhaka and Chattogram divisions and at one or two places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions,” said a met office bulletin issued here.
Day and night temperature may rise slightly over the country, the bulletin added.
The highest temperature on Wednesday was recorded 33.5 degrees Celsius at Satkhira in Khulna and Thursday’s minimum temperature was 19.8 degrees Celsius at Tetulia in Rangpur.
