Most parts of the country are likely to experience light to moderate rain or thunder showers in the next 24 hours till 9 am today, a met office press release said on Monday. “Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Khulna division with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at some places over the country”.
“Monsoon is active over Bangladesh and moderate over North Bay”, it added. The met office also predicted that the rainfall or thunder shower activity may continue for the next 72 hours.
However, the day and night temperature may rise slightly over the country. The highest temperature on Sunday was recorded 33.2 degrees Celsius at Tarash and Ishurdi under Rajshahi division and Monday’s minimum temperature is 20.0 degrees Celsius at Maijdee Court in Chattogram division.
