Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Saturday predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind at many places throughout the country in next 24 hours as of 9 am today.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places in Chattogram, Barishal and Sylhet divisions and at a few places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Khulna divisions with moderately heavy falls at places across the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9 am on Saturday,” said a BMD press release here. Day and night temperature may rise slightly over the country during the period, the release added.
The maximum temperature was recorded 33.5 degrees Celsius on Friday in Rajshahi while Saturday’s minimum temperature 24.0 degrees Celsius at Teknaf in Chattogram division.
