Rain with gusty wind likely

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Monday predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9 am yesterday.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Chattogram, Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna and Barishal divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at isolated places over the country,” said a met office bulletin issued here.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, it added.
The highest temperature on Sunday was recorded 35.8 degrees Celsius at Rajshahi and Ishurdi in Rajshahi division while Monday’s minimum temperature was 24.6 degrees Celsius at Dimla in Rangpur division.
Maximum rainfall in the last 24 hours as of 6 am yesterday was recorded 100 millimeters (mm) at Sylhet.
